This moment I have got a degree of Bachelor, Faculty of Civil Engineering. My qualification is Hydro power Engineering. I successfully passed my qualification exam. I would like to have a degree of Master.
My future job is very interesting, creative and challenging. I learn such subjects as Hydro- engineering, Construction, Architecture, Geodesy, etc. Civil Engineering and Hydro power Engineering are very similar, but each hydro power station is a unique design (уникальный проект). You should learn a lot information of dams, their types, reservoirs of water, generators, construction codes and special features of construction site, soil and so on.
Also I participate in scientific and research work of my university. Я have studied basics of Hydro power Engineering. I participated in students conferences as well I participated in the joint project Hydro Power Engineering in English (совместный проект по гидростроительству на английском). My teacher in English suggested our group to participate in the project. Every student of our group prepared a report about a famous dam, canal or power station. It was very interesting work because we learned a lot concerning our qualification. We learned a lot of facts and information. We collected information and shared it. Also we have got a glossary of terms. There are about 300 terms (терминов).

In order to become the qualified and skilled professional my knowledge is basically theoretical and I have not got much experience yet. Of course I would like to apply my theoretical knowledge into practice. In the future I would like to become a highly qualified professional.
UKRAINE
Ukraine is a sovereign state. It has its own territory, national emblem, state flag and anthem (гимн).
Ukraine is a multinational country. Many nationalities live there. The population is 48 million.
Ukraine is situated on the south-east of Europe. It borders on Russia, Byelorussia, Moldova, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania. It occupies an area of more 600.000 square kilometers.
The geographical position is very favourable (благоприятное).
About 95 per cent of the Ukrainian area is flat and the rest of it is mountainous. The Ukrainian Carpathians with the highest point Goverla (2061 m) and the Crimean Mountains make up those 5% of its area.
Ukraine is washed by the Black sea and the sea of Azov. It has such important ports as Odessa, Ismail, Jalta, Kherson etc. The major rivers are the Dnieper, the Bug, the Donetz, the Dniester and others.
Flora and fauna of Ukraine is unique. It is the only country in Europe with natural steppe vegetation.
Ukraine lies in the central part of the northern temperature zone. It is at a great distance from the Anlantic Ocean and close to the large continent of Asia. So, Ukraine has a moderate (умеренный) continental climate.
Great Britain
Great Britain (the official name –the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland) is situated on two large islands: Great Britain which is the largest island in Europe and Ireland and a group of about 5.000 small islands.
Being an island Great Britain is washed by seas from all sides. So its climate is damp (сырой).
It consists of four countries: England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Every country has got its own symbol, for example, England has got a rose, Scotland has got a thistle (чертополох), etc.
The biggest cities are London, Glasgow, Liverpool, Manchester, Edinburgh, and Cardiff.
The total area (общая площадь) is about 224,000 square kilometers, the population is 60 million.
Some parts of England are really beautiful. There are many hills and mountains in England. But the mountains are not very high. The highest mountain is Ben Nevis in Scotland. There are many lakes and rivers in the country but all of them are rather short. The main rivers are the Severn and the Thames.
Great Britain is a highly developed country. The original basis was coal-mining (добыча угля). There are many deposits (запасы) of coal there. Different engines, motor cars, railway carriages and other products are manufactured in the country as well.
The capital of Great Britain is London. It is situated on the river Thames. The population of London with its suburbs (c пригородной зоной) is more than 9 million.
Great Britain is a parliamentary monarchy. Officially the head of the state is the Queen (королева). Now it is Elizabeth the Second. (Елизавета Вторая). The English government (правительство) consists of the queen and a parliament.
It is necessary to mention that British scientists (ученые), inventors (изобретатели), painters (художники) and writers made great contribution to the development of world science, engineering and art. You know such names as Shakespeare, Robert Burns, Byron, Newton, Conan Doyle and many others.
