Theme: Growth and formation of the jaw bones in the age aspect. Peculiarities of development of the masticatory muscles in children. Morphological and functional characterization of temporary, transitional and permanent dentition.
1. Relevance of the topic: Knowledge about growth and development of the jaw bones at different ages are fundamental in the formation of systematic knowledge in the field of prevention of postnatal dento-maxillary anomalies. Individual approach to the examination of the child to receive orthodontic-based knowledge of anatomical structure of the dentition of the child during the period of time, early and late replacement, permanent dentition, it is necessary for planning treatment and preventive measures for secondary prevention of dento-maxillary anomalies, depending on age.
2. Learning Objectives Activities: Systematize the basic concepts of growth and development of the jaw bones during the child gets older, more specific features of the masticatory muscles in children. To characterize the physiological anatomical features relating to individual teeth, dental series, and bite into a period of formation, stabilization and reduction of temporary occlusion, early and late replacement bite permanent dentition.
