559. Search charm method:
Select the Search charm.
Find the desired app and right-click it.
Click Pin to Start.
Pinning a shortcut to the Start screen places a tile for it there.
You can pin an app to the Start screen via the Search charm or File Explorer.
565. To unpin a tile from the Start screen:
Right-click the tile.
Click Unpin from Start.
568. To resize a tile:
Right-click the tile.
Click Smaller or Larger.
If the program is already pinned to the Start screen, and is a desktop app, right-click its Start screen tile and choose Pin to taskbar.
If the program is running on the desktop, right-click it on the taskbar and choose Pin this program to taskbar.
You can also locate the program file in File Explorer, right-click it, and choose Pin to Taskbar.
To unpin, right-click the icon on the taskbar and choose Unpin this program from taskbar.
Right-click the taskbar, point to Toolbars, and click a toolbar to display it on the taskbar.
Right-click the taskbar and click Lock the taskbar to toggle locking on and off.
When the taskbar is unlocked, you can drag it to another on-screen location.
When enabled, auto-hide hides the taskbar unless you move the mouse pointer where the taskbar should appear.
Right-click the taskbar and click Properties. Check the Auto-hide the taskbar check box and click OK.
Right-click the taskbar, click Properties, and click the Customize button to see settings for working with notification area icons, including whether to hide inactive icons.
You can choose whether to Show icons and notifications, Hide icon and notifications, or Only show notifications for each listed item.
Click OK after you finish making your choices.
The Ease of Access Center enables you to set up a system for use by someone with visual impairments and other special challenges.
Choose settings such as enabling the Narrator, making the screen easier to see, or changing to Speech Recognition or On-Screen Keyboard for input.
In Control Panel, click the Ease of Access category, and click Ease of Access Center to open it.
586. Right-click the clock in the notification area, click Adjust date/time, and click Change date and time.
If prompted, enter an administrator password and click Yes.
Use the choices in the Date and Time Settings dialog box that appears to change the date and time.
