The travelling that impressed me very much

Modern life is impossible without travelling. Most of us in big cities begin every day with travelling to our schools, offices and factories. For some people it is quite a trip to get from home to work. They go by underground, they change to a bus or they take a taxi. From time to time we have to go to another city or country on business. Then after a year’s work people go on holiday and they do not like to spend it at home.Millions of people all over the world spend their holidays travelling. They travel to see other countries and continents, modern cities and the ruins of ancient towns, they travel to enjoy picturesque places or just for a change of scene. It is always interesting to discover new things, to see different people, to try different food, to listen to different musical rhythms.Travelling to Burabai impressed me very much. Burabai`s nature is the best nature in Kazakhstan. Burabai is called as "the gem of Kazakhstan" and as "Switzerland of Kazakhstan". I went to Burabai with my classmates and with our form-master after graduation. We have had a holiday for a week, and we liked the time which we spent there. We had hiking to the lake, horse-riding, hiking to the mountains and other activities. Travelling to this place is one of the best travellings of my life, and I think it will remain in my memory forever.

Role of capital in life of country

In 1997 Nursultan Nazarbayev, President of sovereign Kazakhstan, made decision to move the capital from Almaty to Akmola. That decision was caused by the important geopolitical location of the city in the centre of Kazakhstan and Eurasian continent, by the availability of necessary transport and telecommunication infrastructure. As to the transfer of the capital from Almaty to Akmola it is prompted by economic, ecological and geopolitical expediency. The availability of land for the further expansion of the city played a special role in the choice for the new capital. In 1998, after long discussions and many analytical studies the government of the country made decision to change the name of the new capital to Astana, which stands for "capital" in Kazakh. The city grows and changes, becoming attractive for people in Kazakhstan and guests from abroad. Astana - capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The International presentation of Astana, the new capital of Kazakhstan was held on June 10, 1998. Overall condition of the city, its territory, its virtually the geographic center of Kazakhstan, its proximity to major economic regions on the crossroads of important arterial lines, an opportunity of bringing the number of population up to 400.000 people, pretty stable heat-, water- and power supplies, well-developed transport infrastructure, balanced natural environment- all these factors came to be decisive in making the choice.
