Error shown in IO control Panel – 2 units are in raid (shown in figure 1)
Figure 1 – error in RTE raid of 2 units with all good drives
Open internet explorer to the address http://172.16.16.14:888 as shown in figure 2 for the RTE or address http://locahost:888 for the GUI.
Figure 2 – 3ware 3dm opened on the RTE Raid
Login - Administrator
Password – 3ware
Figure 3 – logged in as Administrator
Select Management – Maintenance as shown in figure 4
Figure 4 – selecting Management – maintenance
Notice there are 2 units in the maintenance window as shown in figure 5
Figure 5 – 2 Units in this raid – all 5 drives are present
Check Unit 1 (unit with only 1 drive present) as shown in figure 6
Figure 6 – Unit 1 selected
Press Delete Unit to remove unit – the drive will become available as shown in figure 7
Figure 7 – Drive now available and only 1 unit is present
Now drive is unformatted and must be added to raid go to section Installing an unformatted drive in raid.
