Recycling has become extremely popular in the world, particularly in recent years when the number of recycling schemes has increased by 500 percent. The enthusiasm for re-using materials has come from the realisation that Americans produce far more waste per person than most Europeans. Recycling is already big business. A lot of companies have already attracted millions of dollars worth of investment. Recycled products are no longer seen as poor quality goods but as desirable alternatives. To look at them you would never know that they were made entirely of recycled materials.

An expensive-looking pair of boots can be made entirely of recycled materials: textile scraps, rubber from tyres, and plastic bags. Taiwan buys used paper to make more paper and Japan uses American crap metal and makes it into new cars, which it then sells back. Kitchen waste is used to power a generator which supplies electricity to 30,000 houses. Other materials are used to make soil, which is then used for growing fruit and vegetables.

In a time when newspapers and TV news bulletins are filled with depressing stories of environmental disasters, it is important to remind people especially children, that they can make a difference. After all, they can recycle their waste every day of their lives.

5. Tell your partner about the sport you would most/least like to do. Talk about the benefits or drawbacks of each sport.

Sport is an important part of today's society and plays a large role in many people's lives. Sport. іs something that helps you to escape from your daily routine and to communicate with people. There are different sport clubs, you can sight up on: football, kung-fu, ice skating, climbing, aerobics and many others. Football, kung-fu, climbing, t’ai chi are mostly for man. And aerobics, skating, fitness and others are for woman.

I want to tell you about one of my hobbies – aqua-aerobics. I attended to aqua-aerobic about 4 years ago. Now I visit sport center twice a week for 2 hours. It`s brilliant, I love it. The aqua-aerobic – is the group of physical exercises which is done with different physical load and speed under the music in the swimming-pool. While doing all exercises I am not only lost my weight but caring about my health. Because almost all exercises help my body bread and make the lead circulation better. Than aerobic helps me to relax, makes me happier, helps me to be more efficient in my study and at last gets me more positive view of life.

You can begin to do aerobical exercises from the age trom fifth ort sixth year and antill you feel strench and desire to proceed. You should try it and you never feel sorry.

6. Compare different lifestyles. What do you think are the main differences and similarities between these lifestyles?

Most of us have just one home, one job, one lifestyle. But in the 21st century, cheap travel and communication technology have made the world smaller and smaller, so that we can work and live, almost anywhere. More and more people have two places they call 'home'.

Joss Langford, 29, snowboard designer. He says 'In Germany, I feel European. In England, I feel English,'. Every two weeks, Joss leaves his farmhouse home near Cambridge for another farmhouse near Nuremberg. Johs designs in England, builds in Germany, then drives to Switzerland to test the bards. The distance between homes in England and Germany is almost 1,000km door-to-door. He knows this because he sometimes drives. It makes a nice change from flying. Joss flew 100 times last year. He doesn't mind all the air travel, but there are disadvantages. In each country he has a social life and a local pub.

Joss says: I watch TV because I don't have one at home. I'm not lonely. I have a second home, not a hotel room. I have a German life in Germany, and an English life in England.

Cherar Arthur is a baron of Gypsy group. He has a tavelling lifestyle too. He saw all Europe with his Gypsy family from Russia to Britain. The main idea of his life is freedom. He move from town to town by horses all the time. He lives outdoor in the tents. He, as all gypsys, wears bright Indian closes, a lot of jewels, has specific culture and religion. However, the Gypsy lifestyle of travelling and working, along with their customs and religion, have been maintained through the centuries, whatever the attitude of outsiders, and will undoubtedly continue for centuries into the future.

7. Imagine you are a judge. Decide what punishment you would give for the following crimes: speeding, shoplifting, mugging and murder.

8. Success doesn't happen by accident. Compare your understanding of the way to success with contemporaries and older generation.

There is no specific formula you can use to become a millionaire. At school, we are told that gaining knowledge is all that we need to do well in society. Other studies show that there is little connection between how well children do at school and the success they achieve as adults.

If you are not born wealthy, you may be able to take advantage of your good looks. People expect a good-looking person to be kinder and more efficient. However, even if you were born poor and lack the height or looks of a top model, there is still plenty you can do to improve your chances of success. There are many courses and self-help manuals available to help you reach the top. There is even a magazine called Personal Success, filled with ads for courses that will "transform your thinking and behaviour".

"Success does not happen by dent. Successful people are the ones who, when something doesn't work, try son thing else. Unsuccessful people keep on doing the same thing, only harder.

One thing is sure, though. True success turns out to be based on than motivation. There is a need harmony, balance, creativity healthy relationships.

9. Tell what a magazine should contain in order to be popular with people of your age. Which magazines sell the best?

10. Do you like traveling by boat? What are the disadvantages of boat-travel?

The Sail Training Association is a British charity organisation which gives young people a chance to sail on a large ship while making friends from other countries. It recently gave thirty-nine youngsters from eight European countries the opportunity to sail the "Sir Winston Churchill". It was a success in uniting people by giving them the experience of sailing a ship at sea for five days. The Cutty Sark race is not exactly a race. The trophy is awarded to the ship and crew that contribute most to international under standing and friendship.

The bout has problems because of high winds and a very rough sea.

As for the trainees, after they survived the first two days of bad weather and seasickness, they enjoyed the work they had to do and the friends they made. They had to raise sails by hand, clean the ship, and help with the cooking. This, and the sleeping arrangements - all 39 slept in a space only eight by fifteen metres - was perfect for becoming close through co-operation and patience. A problem everyone knew they would face was the language. Everyone had to speak some English to participate. One of the most frequent phrases heard was the request to speak more slowly, as instructions were shouted over the sound of the sea. But working together -and being seasick together - only brought the participants closer together.

Whatever their reasons were for leaving dry land for the unpredictable sea, they were all glad to return as they woke the small Norwegian port town with their singing and cheering.

From Llangollen wharf you can embark on a 45-minute horse drawn boat trip along the river or, on certain days, you can go for a longer journey on the Thomas Telford, which has refreshments on board to add to your enjoyment.

12. What are people's beliefs in superstitions today? Are there any age or depths differences of peoples beliefs?

So many superstitions used to be influenced by the stages of the moon. Each month was divided into two parts - "the light of the moon" when the moon was waxing or full and the "dark of the moon” when it was fading or waning.

For example a village pig killer was always busiest in the first fortnight of the moon. It is not superstitious, but few villagers would have their pigs killed when the moon was fading, for fear that the meat would go bad.

You cut posts for building fences in “the light of the moon” if you wanted them to last long, but firewood in "the dark of the moon". I suppose that could be logical, if the moon has any effect at all on the flow of sap in trees, which would be at its maximum at full moon and would decline over the next two weeks.

A similar argument could apply to the widespread belief, still very much alive, that most garden seeds should be planted at the time of the new moon or shortly after it.

Hedges ought to be laid when the moon is full. That again would seem to be logical, but it appears to be excellent advice that would have been impossible to follow.

Floor boards in a new cottage should be laid during "the light of the moon"; if the job were done during the waning or fading moon the board would shrink, and weeds would come up through the cracks.

Knowing that the moon controls the tides, and knowing that our bodies are composed mostly of water, it seems not unreasonable to suppose that we, too, may be influenced by stages of the moon. One can also understand why supernatural powers, should be blamed on the moon.
