METAL SCIENCE, METALS THERMAL TREATMENT EQUIPMENT AND TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT
This speciality is extraordinary important and necessary for national economy. Since the time immemorial man has used thermal treatment of metals he produced. When 2000 years before our era iron manufacture appeared man began to use thermal treatment. Being applied it increases workpiece wear resistance and allows to economize large quantity of metal, decreases items dimensions and weight.
Developing materials with pre-set properties and with high economical effect in the national economy is foreseen by main trends of the economic and social development. It is impossible to develop such materials without careful study of structure and properties of alloys, their composition and way of treatment. This is the main and immediate task of metal science and thermal treatment technology.
Our specialists, working in the scientific research institutes, laboratories and plants, create new alloys and new technological processes of their thermal treatment (laser, electron ray, high frequency, impulse heating etc.). Working in thermal workshops of the plants, engineers heat-treaters implant new technological processes of metals thermal treatment and improve them. They go in for robotics and automation of thermal treatment bays, heat-treaters toil and improve items quality. That treater’s toil is practically necessary in all fields of national economy and we are proud of our speciality and love it.
