I. Прочитайте и переведите текст.
Training specialists of legal profession
I am a second-year student of law faculty. Student’s life is very interesting and various. In our faculty we have every opportunity for studies and leisure.
We attend lectures and seminars. Classes usually begin at 30 min-s past 8 o’clock in the morning. After the classes are over the students of the University go to the reading halls, laboratories, sports club and different sections of scientific society.
The student’s scientific society plays an important role in training future specialists. A great deal of students carries on their research work in numerous circles and sections. The object of studies in our faculty is law.
According to the curriculum the students of our faculty study theoretical subjects social and special ones and have practical classes or tutorials.
A lawyer must be a broadly educate person. So we study History of Russia, Foreign languages, Roman Law, Criminal Law and others. Our faculty has such special chairs as the Chair of Theory and History of State and Law, Criminal law and Procedure, Civil Law and Procedure and others.
But we get not only theoretical knowledge. We must also have practical work in procurator’s offices, Courts, investigating departments, Notary offices etceteras, but we have nothing at this moment.
Law faculty trains specialists of legal profession for our law offices, Courts, Procurator’s offices, Notary offices, the Bar, the organs of Ministry of Internal Affairs and so on.
We’ll become judges, public prosecutors, investigators, notaries, defending counsels or advocates and other legal specialists.
II. Составьте предложения со словосочетаниями: a broadly educate person, practical work in procurator’s offices, the student’s scientific society.
III. Дайте комментарий к глаголу "to investigate", составьте свои предложения, используя англо-русский и русско-английский словари.
IV. V.
