Leisure is time spent in non-compulsory activities. Because leisure time is free from compulsory activities such as work, study, household duties, eating and sleeping and etc. Leisure time is the time when you can forget about day-to day stress and stressful activities and relax. So the basic leisure time activities of the young are travelling, doing sports, visiting discos and clubs, listening to music or watching TV and videos, and surfing the Internet. As for me, I prefer to spend my free time doing three things: doing swimming, reading books and listening to music in which I prefer jazz and hip-hop music. Doing sports helps me keep fit. Books open to me a whole world of events and people. I enjoy listening to music, as music helps me relax and relieve stress.

I find going to the theatre very useful. Theatre isn’t only an entertainment; it plays a more serious part in people’s and society’s life. It influences on the way people feel, think or act. Theatre has always been and is still popular and attractive for people of different generations. I like theatre very much, especially Russian Drama Theatre in Minsk. I highly appreciate the cast of this theatre. I enjoy the traditional scenery, skill-made costumes. And it’s very important what plays are in the repertoire. The theatre always chooses the plays for its repertoire very thoroughly.

If you don’t have any hobby I advise you to take up one of the recreational activities. It can be swimming, skiing, dancing, scuba diving, making models, roller-skating, aerobics, photography, design, reading. I’m sure recreational activities are positive ways to keep the mind active, body energetic and emotions under control. It brings you joy and relaxation; you will find life exciting and meaningful. You can create something new and be proud of it. You will communicate with other people and avoid boredom. You will have many benefits.

I agree that children should spend less time playing computer games, that they should play outside or do some sport instead. Many young people become addicted to the computer, they spend too much time playing games, chatting on the Internet. Sometimes it is very harmful for their health. They are getting sick, they forget about theirs studies, and they suffer from a lack of sleep, eyes problems
