Features of business and international communications are directly connected with culture of the country. Despite a huge variety of business cultures, there are the methods, allowing predicting elements of behavior of the representative of this or that culture. Methods of classification of the countries depending on four variable characteristics reflecting basic distinctions of cultural values, and the contextual ranging of cultures offered by E. Hall are more often applied. When forecasting it is useful to consider behavioral stereotypes, a source and power level, business ethics, motivation, type of thinking and feature of perception of time.
Globalization of economy affected even small and medium business of Kazakhstan. It (free-easy or involuntarily) faces problems of international business relationship: whether it be acquisition of the equipment, raw materials, search of partners or investors. I don't speak already about the direct competition in own domestic market from the multinational companies. Globalization does studying of culture of business relationship and international communications more and more important for the Kazakhstan managers. The awareness on features of this or that culture, ability to consider and put these features into practice help one companies quicker and with smaller expenses to improve the relations with partners, another — to struggle with competitors more effectively. The knowledge of features of international communications and to the managers working in the foreign companies as they allow to adapt better in the alien environment is very useful, to understand essence of requirements of the management, an admissible framework of behavior and, respectively, to move ahead on service quicker.
Features of business radically depend on culture of the country and are reflected in all aspects of business relationship — from daily contacts before negotiation process and forms of the signed contracts. At the heart of the cultural distinctions existing between the countries, fundamental divergences of valuable orientations lie.
As management is connected with integration of people in their general enterprise, it is deeply implanted in culture. What managers do in the Western Germany, in Britain, in the USA, in Japan or in Brazil, is, as a matter of fact, identical. How they do it, it can be absolutely various. One of the main conclusions facing managers of developing countries consists just in finding and distinguishing those elements of their own tradition, stories and cultures which can be used as construction blocks of the modernized control system.
Close to concept of culture concept – national mentality – the integrating characteristic of the people living in concrete culture which allows to describe an originality of vision by these people of the world surrounding them and to explain specifics of their response to it.
The concept of mentality describes specifics of reflection of the outside world, causing originality of ways of reaction of rather big community of people.
In a general view the mentality can be defined as characteristic for concrete culture (subculture) specifics of mental life of the individuals representing this culture (subculture), determined by economic and political living conditions in historical aspect.
On the basis of national culture (cultures) in the environment of the concrete organization the corporate culture can be created.
Specific professional areas with steady traditions form professional culture and ethics (doctors, lawyers, etc.).
